Hanan Hamid is a young woman from Kerala, India, who gained public attention when her life story was published by a local newspaper. She became known for selling fish in Thammanam to support her studies after college hours. Despite facing bullying on social media, she has created a successful life for herself and is now a social media influencer and a junior artist in the Malayalam film industry. Recently, she made headlines for her entry as a wild card in Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 5.
Hanan’s story began when she was a third-year chemistry student at a private college in Idukki. Her daily routine was reported to start at 3 am, studying at her rented home in Madavana, followed by cycling to the Chambakkara wholesale market to buy fish, which she would later sell in Thammanam after her college classes. Her life was further challenged by her family circumstances, with divorced parents, an alcoholic father, and a mentally disturbed mother. She also gave tuition classes to pay for her school fees and has interests in acting, dubbing, poetry, and Kalaripayattu.
Hanan’s perseverance and determination to lead a dignified life despite hardships won her praise from various quarters, including politicians, actors, and film directors. She was even offered a role by film director Arun Gopy. Hanan Hamid was born on January 2, 1997, in Ernakulam, Kerala. She completed her schooling at a government school in Ernakulam and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from Government College, Thodupuzha.
