
Roshan Basheer is an Indian actor known for his work in Malayalam, Telugu, and Tamil films. Born on June 28, 1991, in Kozhikode, Kerala, he began his acting career with the Malayalam film Plus Two in 2010.
Although the movie didn’t achieve significant commercial success, Roshan’s talent was evident, and he continued to take on supporting roles in films like Banking Hours (2012), Tourist Home (2013), and Red Wine (2013).
His breakthrough came with the 2013 Malayalam thriller Drishyam, directed by Jeethu Joseph, where he portrayed the pivotal villainous character Varun Prabhakar. This role earned him recognition and led to his reprisal of the same character in the Telugu remake Drushyam (2014) and the Tamil remake Papanasam (2015), which starred Kamal Haasan.
Roshan has also appeared in lead roles in smaller-budget films such as Kubera Rashi and Moondru Rasigargal. His versatility as an actor is evident in his ability to perform across multiple languages and genres. Beyond acting, Roshan has a background in computer science, having graduated from the College of Technology and Applied Sciences in Edappally, Kerala.
Roshan’s personal life includes his marriage to Furzana Anub in 2020, and they have one child. He continues to actively pursue roles in the Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam film industries.
