Amritha Suresh
Amritha Suresh is an Indian singer, composer, songwriter, and radio jockey. Born on August 2, 1990, in Kochi, Kerala, she comes from a family of musicians. Her father, P. R. Suresh, is a musician. Amritha has a younger sister, Abhirami Suresh, who is also a singer and actress.
Amritha gained popularity after participating in the reality television singing competition Idea Star Singer on Asianet in 2007. Since then, she has sung and composed for several films and music albums. She founded the music band Amrutam Gamay in 2014, which she leads along with her sister Abhirami. She participated in Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 2 along with her sister Abhirami.
Amritha has also been a celebrity radio jockey on Radio Suno 91.7 with the music show Suno Melodies. Her rendition of the song “Munthirpoo” from the film Aagathan (2010) was particularly well-received.
Abhirami Suresh
Abhirami Suresh is an Indian actress, singer, musician, composer, and video jockey. Born in Kochi, Kerala, she is the younger sister of Amritha Suresh. Abhirami started her career as a child artist in the TV serial Hello Kuttichathan (2008-2009), where she played the role of Nimmy.
Abhirami made her Malayalam film debut in Keralotsavam (2009) and her Tamil film debut in Kerala Nattilam Pengaludane (2014). She is known for her role as Meera in the Malayalam film Beware of Dogs (2014). Abhirami has also been a part of various TV serials and reality shows, including Bigg Boss Malayalam 2.
In 2014, Abhirami joined her sister in the music band Amrutam Gamay, where they performed together. The band has gained popularity for its diverse musical genres, including pop, folk, rock, and classical.
Both sisters are passionate about music and continue to create and perform together, making a significant impact in the Indian music and entertainment industry.
