Early Life and Education
Alina Padikkal was born on December 12, 1995, in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. She completed her schooling at Holy Angels’ ISC School in Thiruvananthapuram and pursued a B.A. in Psychology and English Literature at Christ University, Bangalore. She later enrolled in Oxford College, Bangalore for an MBA.
Career
Alina started her career as a TV anchor at a young age, hosting the children’s program “Butterflies” on Asianet in 2004. She won the Kerala State Television Award for the best anchor for that program in 2005. Over the years, she has hosted several TV shows, including:
- “Smart Show” on Flowers TV
- “Komady Circus” on Mazhavil Manorama
- “Hot n’ Spicy” (a cookery show) on ACV
- “D4Dance Junior vs Senior” on Mazhavil Manorama
Alina made her acting debut in 2016 with the Malayalam TV serial Bharya, where she played Nayna. She also participated in the reality show Bigg Boss Malayalam 2 in 2020.
Personal Life
Her father, K Padikkal, is a businessman, and her mother, Bindu Philipose, is a homemaker. She has one sister. Alina is currently engaged to her long-term boyfriend, Rohit P Nair.
