Rekha began her acting journey at just four years old, playing the childhood version of Revathi in the Tamil film Unnai Naan Santhithen. She made her television debut at the age of fourteen in the Malayalam serial Nirakoottu, directed by Srivalsan. Over the years, she appeared in numerous serials, including Manasu, Devi, Kavyanjali, and Swantham. Her breakthrough role came in Aayirathil Oruval on Mazhavil Manorama, followed by her widely acclaimed performance as Padippura Veettil Padmavathy in Parasparam, one of the longest-running Malayalam television series.
Personal Life
Rekha has had a tumultuous personal life, with multiple marriages that ended in separation. She was first married in 2000, but the marriage lasted only a few months. She later married actor Nirmal Prakash, but he passed away unexpectedly in 2010. Her subsequent marriages also ended in separation. She is currently a single mother, raising her son Ayan, who was born in 2011.
