Pradeep Chandran, often credited as Pradeep, is a well-known Indian actor who appears in Malayalam films and television. He was born in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, and comes from a family with a background in law enforcement, as his father was a retired Director from the Short Hand Bureau of Special Branch CID, Kerala Police Department.
Early Life and Education
Pradeep completed his master’s degree in business administration at VLB Janakiammal College of Engineering and Technology, Anna University. Before entering the film industry, he worked in Bangalore for an insurance company.
Acting Career
Pradeep made his acting debut in 2007 with the film Mission 90 Days, directed by Major Ravi, where he played the role of an NSG Commando alongside Mammootty. Since then, he has appeared in numerous Malayalam films, including Kurukshetra, Kandahar, Ividam Swargamanu, Lokpal, Geethaanjali, Loham, Oppam, and Drishyam. He has often shared screen space with actor Mohanlal.
Television Career
Pradeep made his television debut in 2010 with the serial Kunjali Marakkar on Asianet, for which he won the Asianet Television Award for Best Debut Actor in 2011. He gained significant popularity for his role as DCP Abhiram IPS in the television serial Karuthamuthu (2017-2019).
Personal Life
Pradeep married Anupama Ramachandran on July 12, 2020. He continues to be active in the entertainment industry and is known for his versatile acting skills.
