Maneesha K. Subrahmaniam, commonly known as Maneesha KS, is a multifaceted personality in the Malayalam entertainment industry. Born on April 29, 1978, in Perambra, Thrissur, Kerala, she has made significant contributions as an actress, singer, dubbing artist, anchor, and radio jockey.
Early Life and Education:
Maneesha was born to Kanda Subrahmaniam and Prakashini. She grew up with her siblings, an elder sister Nadasha K., and two younger brothers, Aidith K. Subrahmaniam and Vidyuth K. Her educational journey began at St. Augustine’s Girls High School in Muvattupuzha, followed by a pre-degree from MarThoma College in Perumbavoor. She then graduated from Vimala College in Thrissur.
Career:
After completing her education, Maneesha moved to Dubai, where she started her career as a radio jockey. Concurrently, she began her singing career, performing for East Coast Vijayan and KPK Vengara. After an 11-year stint in Dubai, she returned to India and joined All India Radio in Thrissur as an RJ.
Maneesha’s acting career took off in 2005 with the Malayalam film “Thanmathra,” where she starred alongside the renowned actor Mohanlal. Since then, she has acted in over 17 films, including “Rasatantram” and “Ennum Eppozhum.” She has also appeared in television serials like “Thatteem Mutteem,” “Pookkalam Varavayi,” and “Ente Maathavu”.
Bigg Boss Malayalam:
In 2023, Maneesha gained widespread recognition when she participated in the fifth season of the reality show “Bigg Boss Malayalam,” hosted by Mohanlal. Her appearance on the show further increased her popularity among audiences.
Personal Life:
Maneesha was married to Sheen George, a musician, and the couple has two children, Nithin and Neerada. However, they later got divorced.
